Until spring of 1860, it was a passport requirement when traveling within Norway. The letter of recommendation from the priest should inform of the migrant’s marital status and ethical behavior. This registration is build upon the lists of migrants to be found in the church books in the Regional State Archive of Hamar. 1822 total in the database.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Osen was divided from \u00c5mot clerical district in 1787 and was annexed to Trysil clerical district. Osen parish vas divided and called Nordre Osen and S\u00f8ndre Osen in 1880; when Nordre Osen became annexed to \u00c5mot clerical district.
